Right Hand Shankh / Dakshinavarti Shankh / Laxmi Shankh / Arga Shankh

The Dakhshinavarti Shanksh is a sea-shaped structure, which is mostly built in helical clockwise. It is considered very sacred in Hinduism. It is considered a symbol of religion. It is shown adorning the right upper hand of Lord Vishnu. In Shaivism, conch is considered taboo in worship. This Conch is called Dakshinavarti because while the belly of all the conch shells opens on the left side, its stomach opens on the opposite right side.
